Once known as Cudahy mansion, this building was purchased in 1939 for graduate students. It served as one of IIT's Naval housing quarters (quarters 2) from 1943 until 1945. After World War II, the building housed graduate students and, from 1948-61, the Sigma Phi Epsilon fraternity.
